About this event

There is no fee to order LCSD branded comics for Local Comic Shop Day®.  

If you would like to participate in LCSD as a registered storefront, there is a $20 fee.  (See below for reasons to register).

THE GOAL: To promote Local Comic Shops as the places to visit during the holiday shopping season.

IMPLEMENTATION

1. The date of LCSD is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (November 22).
2. FOC of items varies.   We will email registered storefronts the deadlines.  Retailers can also check FOC through their distributors.
3. All LCSD items will go through normal delivery processes and can be sold or pre-sold like all other items retailers receive that week.

WHY REGISTER?

By registering:

1.  You will be eligible for special deals that we negotiated for registered storefronts. Stock up for the Holidays!
2.  You can add your holiday plans to the Local Comic Shop Day website.
3.  Customers will find out about your holiday plans from our website and Facebook advertising to your zip-code.  
4.  Stores will get some traffic from our website and from our Facebook advertising to their zip-codes.

All locally owned independent retailers are invited to participate.

A Local Comic Shop is defined as a brick and mortar business that sells a substantial amount and/or percentage of comics and graphic novels. Qualifying comic specialty shops must be locally owned, not be publicly traded, and not have more than 35 storefronts.

TWO RULES

1. If a publisher provides an item, please follow the guidelines set down by that publisher, Diamond, or other Distributor for selling that item. (i.e. no breaking street date).

2. Please follow the the guidelines for using the Local Comic Shop Day logo and name set down by ComicsPRO.
